Why was RobotFreedom.AI built?
The software started out as a kid’s project to create a chat bot for DnD. It evolved into a AgenticAI platform capable of controlling robots. Given the robot’s proximity to children and the desire to use it for educational purposes transparency and safety are the core concerns.
How to start?
The software is written in Python and can be used by someone with minimal Python experience. In our roadmap we would like to further simplify the software to make it acceptable to anyone.

The code is designed for beginners to develop. Many open source packages today are written for PhD computer science majors, not everyday people. Our code base will always stay simple and clean.

The initial design was an interactive robots for kids to play with. The core use case can be expand to provide companionship for pets, elderly or people who just do not like have an empty home.
